Why don’t you ask for my name and contact information?

We do not ask for your personally identifiable information because we do not need it to fulfill your no-sale request. The general rule of privacy is not to collect personally identifiable information when it is not needed, so we have set up this method instead.

We may not know that the information we share with our advertising partners relates to you. For example, we may capture and share the identifier or IP address of the device you use to access our site, but not associate that information with you. By doing so, we can better ensure that we are honoring your intent to “not sell” your request, rather than just capturing your name and address.
